Where did summer go?!

Summer can be a blur. You might not remember things you swore you would never forget—including us. 😉


Here’s a reintroduction to the free Encourage® College and Career Planning Program, including how we have made it even easier for students to explore the future and for educators to have more meaningful conversations about careers.


Who are you?

We are Encourage, a free college and career planning program that helps you support students as they explore life after high school.


Students receive a personalized starting point for exploration – matched with colleges, scholarships, and even careers and majors after a short interest quiz in our app, Encourage (available on web and mobile).


Educators get straightforward information about their students’ goals, matches, and preferences, enabling them to tailor their support for each student and plan effectively with an educator account.


What’s New?

We have been busy this summer making it even easier for students to explore and for educators to have better conversations.


College Exploration

  • Exploring Colleges Got Easier: In addition to students’ personalized matches, they can also now explore college collections for HBCUs, Tribal Colleges & Universities, Hispanic Serving Institutions, Best AI Programs, Best Co-Ops/Internships, and Best Value. This gives students a new starting point in browsing colleges to find the right fit.
  • Access to More Scholarships: Now, students can search all 80,000 scholarships from SuperCollege, not just those they matched with, to help make college even more affordable.


Career Exploration

  • New Career Insights for 1:1 Meetings: Results of students’ career and major quizzes are now available in each student’s profile within your educator account! Now, educators can have more specific discussions about careers with students.
  • One Place to Go for Ready-made Lesson Plans: Our lesson plans (including career-focused ones) are now in your educator account, giving you a clear way to introduce and leverage the Encourage app with students throughout the year.

Now that you know us, have your IT department approve the necessary emails and domains to ensure you and your students can seamlessly use the program.
