About Encourage
Encourage is a free, easy-to-use college and career planning program for grades 8–12. It helps educators bring structure and purpose to future planning efforts — empowering every student to see what’s possible and understand the steps to get there.
Designed to provide Tier 1 support, Encourage includes ready-to-use lesson plans and a planning app that make future readiness simple and accessible.
Students get a clear, personalized starting point to explore colleges, careers, majors, and scholarships aligned with their interests and goals.
Educators gain valuable insights and resources to guide meaningful conversations and demonstrate impact school-wide.

Encourage Logo
The Encourage logo serves as the anchor of our brand and communication system. The logo contains both the owl and "Encourage" wordmarks.

Reverse (White)
The Encourage logo may be reversed to appear on dark background colors.

Depending on a user's preferences, email may be displayed in either "light" or "dark" mode (light background + dark text or dark background + light text, respectively).
In order for a logo to display accessibly in both light and dark modes, there must be a background color included in the image file.
The two examples shown here are included as "email" options in the logo folder download.

Clear Space
The minimum clear space is the area around the mark that must be kept free of other elements.
All versions of the logo have scalable clear space automatically included.
Do not crop the image.
Using the Encourage Logo
Do's and Dont's
These potential uses and misuses below are designed to serve as examples and not intended to be a comprehensive list.
Do: Use provided .png files with built-in clear space.
Don't: Alter or crop the logo in any way
Do: Use provided .png files without alteration of any kind
Don't: Change placement of logo elements or change the scale of the owl and/or wordmark
Do: Use the navy or white version provided
Don't: Change the color of the logo
Do: Use provided .png files without alteration of any kind
Don't: Stretch or distort the logo
Do: Ensure there is enough contrast between the logo and background color
Don't: Use the logo on top of photos or busy backgrounds
Do: Use the white version on dark backgrounds
Don't: Use the navy logo on top of low contrast colors
Do: Use Encourage logo on its own
Don't: use any part of the logo in a sentence, phrase, headline or title.
Do: Use the email versions for email messages to account for light and dark modes
Don't: Use the transparent background files for email.

Encourage Partner Lockups
Cobranding with Partners
Cobranded logos include a partner logo on the left, a vertical rule and and the navy Encourage logo on the right.
For mobile users, logos may also be stacked with the partner logo first, followed by a horizontal rule and the navy Encourage logo.
All lockups have built-in clear space and a white background.
